A Consideration of the Perspectives of Healing Practitioners on Research Into Energy Healing

This paper surveys experienced energy- and biofield-healing practitioners to better understand their perspectives on research about their work. Through qualitative literature review and a survey, the study highlights key insights—including the importance of the healer’s mindset, the client’s active role, the diversity of healing processes, and the need for outcome measures focused on “wholeness.” It recommends more sophisticated research designs—like qualitative methods, realist approaches, and registries—to deepen exploration of client experiences and healing dynamics.
